I was sat looking out of the window the other day at the fine British weather when I decided that I needed to brighten things up a little. No, not just my life, but my house too. So, as I scanned the room, I decided to redecorate and freshen up the lounge with a new set of blinds and perhaps a couple of new canvas prints for the wall.

Ok, you would think that was easy right? Wrong! The paint for decorating the walls with was fairly straightforward. In fact, even order the canvas prints off the internet was a doddle. However, the one thing that you would have suspected as being the easiest turned out to be a total nightmare...ordering blinds.

Now from previous experience, I've always thought that blinds could be pretty much made to fit any shape and size of window. However it seemed that when I spoke to many local "expert" blind installers, that only certain combination's of sizes are possible. Not a clue why, but there we go! Then it all changed....

Whilst Googling, I came across a company called Tuiss who were based not a million miles from me, but more importantly, actually looked like they knew what they were talking about. Just a phone call later and I hit that "BAM!" moment, where you realise that you have spoken to somebody who is not only passionate about their job, but actually knows the subject inside and out. I was sold instantly. When I'm working with people of this caliber, I actually do not mind paying a little more for the luxury. I would by far prefer to have knowledgeable passionate people who will bend over backwards to get the job done right and that I trust....and this is what surprised me... Tuiss was actually one of the best value suppliers out of the 8 I had tried.

So, armed with all the info and my vast DIY knowledge (oh dear!!) I decided I would also order some blackout blinds for the bedroom while I was at it, and perhaps a new print for above the bed. Well, literally 2 days later, I had everything I needed to get busy and I'd already taken the initiative and redecorated the lounge walls. When I get 5 mins, I'll take some photos and put them up, so you can see my fine DIY prowess!

So, to summerise.... I'm a DIY god, my lounge and bedroom are now stunning and there is this fabulous company called Tuiss (who by the way I do not have any affiliation with!) who will supply your blinds! So, get busy and give your house a makeover for the new year!
