We win a friendly against Argentina, so now we are World Cup winners?

I see Team England have a winning weekend - beating Argentina (football), Australia (rugby), golf, rugby league etc etc.  So we win a couple of matches and we are world beaters.

Err NOT.  The only reason we beat Argentina at football was that they substituted their best players towards the end when they were 2-1 up.  Had it been a real match and not a friendly they would have keep the top team playing.

So the fact we score a couple of lucky goals in the last couple of minutes against the weakened team makes us world cup winners haha.

Go on, put you money on England to win the world cup, take a bet – what are the odds now?  England are the 8^th ranked team in the world.  So on that basis we should make it through the group stages, but who knows?   Lets just hope we don’t have any penalty shoot outs otherwise we’ll have another image of a poor footballer scuffing his shot wide, or over, or straight to the keeper, and we’ll be out.
