I blame the parents E-mail
Contributed by Caz
Why is it that kids these days get away with (quite literally) murder? What's more, Why are parents being brain-washed by kid-free politicians?

My parents often smacked me, or grounded me, or stopped my pocket money if I was naughty. It never did me any harm. In fact, I would say it did me good. I certainly learnt my lesson. I had, and still have a lot of respect for my parents.

The lesson at the time: Don't mess with the parents.

I just don't understand why the parents of evil kids stand up for them. My 13 year old neighbour was stabbed in a park. The kid who stabbed him was probably congratulated and was bought an XBox / bike / line of coke (to share with his parents, of course). Who got the blame for the incident? My neighbour... for having an MP3 player that his attacker wanted.

Perhaps it is the parents of these kids who should be stabbed for being so stupid. It might stop them from breeding even more stupid offspring.

Hi Caz,

I totally agree. My Mum smacked me all the time ... and her famous words (like many other mothers) were "wait till i tell your dad". I was scared to death, not of being smacked but of dissapointing my parents.

Kids now days dont seem to care :( and i think that is mainly down to the kids!

Kids have no respect, but is that because they know damn well no one can do anything???? I have heard the line " i will call child line"! a few times with my boys! They know the police cant do anything, teachers sre shit scared, neighbours, grandparents, friends ..... no one can do anything to chastise a child now days ... bring back the cane I say!!!!!!

Never fight kids with fists.

I do think that it would be good if more parents had more rules for kids and did punishment for bad behaviours more. Although never use violence by the hand. I never think that is a good idea. But to keep discipline and have rules never can harm any kids. So more discipline and rules, but no violence if I was a mother. I know how it is to be raised in a family without any rules or discipline and I have always wondered what is wrong with me when it comes to me being so lazy!

I agree with this statement, many kids feel that they are invincible and can do what they want. With half wit parents not reprimanding their children (at all) It only remains to say more people will get their MP3 players stolen and worse parents will lose their authority over children in definatley.
