I’m sorry, but I’m going to have a rant about old people. Yes, I know I will be old one day too, but I hope I will still use some of my common sense… unlike SOME. Now, it might just be me, but anyone who lives or works in a relatively big town or city might have noticed that lots of people work 9.00 – 5.00 Monday to Friday. I’m beginning to think that once we reach retirement we forget that other people still work these hours. Working in the city centre means that I can’t park unless I’m willing to pay my whole day’s wages on paying for the privilege of parking in an NCP car park, where some little b*****d will undoubtedly scratch my car. Or the other option is to catch the bus. The reason I’m a bit annoyed is because I’m fed up of having to battle my way through thousands of old biddies who have just spent the day at the bingo, who then in turn, have a moan because nobody will offer them their seat. Well excuse me, but while you’ve been sat on your saggy arse all day putting dots on numbers, I’ve been slogging my guts out for eight hours. All I want is to go home at 5.00 with as little fuss and fighting as is humanly possible. Please please please could the bingo halls kick out the biddies at, say, 2.30? or 3.00? just so that the people who have had to work all day (and who have probably suffered enough stress in the office, not to mention the bus) don’t have to compete with the demands of varicose veins, bad backs, and generally being battered to death with hand bags and walking sticks. It’s just a suggestion. Only registered users can write comments.
