Hold on, before you all jump to the same conclusion, I dont mean the ones you get when you are "only going to be a minute" on double yellow lines, when in fact you are three quarters of an hour queing up in Argos, looking through the catalogue trying to find that gift you should have bought him/her yesterday and if you dont get it today the fine and points on your already full up with points licence wont matter when he/she gets hold of you if you dont get that gift. | | Why DO they do it???? |
No, not those ones, I mean the ones you get, or should get, when you park on a pay and display car park. Now then, this is what, in my very humble opinion, should happen. You park your car (NOT in a disabled parking space, unless of course, you are disabled) and toddle off to buy your ticket. When you've found a machine that works, come back, stick the ticket in either your windscreen or drivers side window and get yourself off to the shops to buy stuff.
All fairly simple up to now, yes? Right, when you've finally finished your spending, return to your car, load it up, get in and drive off. Hold on a minute, we've forgotten something...whats happened to your parking ticket? Whats that you say, you've left it on your windscreen or drivers side window to obscure your view?
Please someone tell me, why do they do that??? I mean, would'nt it get right on your nerves seeing that in your windscreen or, even worse, just to the right of you, in your drivers side window, like some white, single blinker, blocking your vision when your pulling out in front of that poor motorcyclist who hits you in the side, sending them off into orbit and then them ending up dead, or even worse, in Hospital. And all just because you couldnt be bothered to pull that sticker off! Check it out tomorow, see how many people you can spot who are too bone idle to take their sticker from the window. But watch out, although you can see them, they may not be able to see you!!!
