Have you seen the story in the red top rags about Police Vans parking on Yellow Lines whilst our hungry bobbies pop in for a quick Big Mac take away.
What are these papers on about? They are complaining that the police are abusing their abilityt to park on yellow lines safe in their immunity from getting a ticket or being clamped. What’s wrong with this? We all get perks of the job (well those of us who work do). Maccy D’s workers get free or subsidised meals, train workers get free travel on railways etc. Who hasn’t made a personal call on the work phone or used your mobile in work’s time? We all do it that’s the point I’m making. So the police do it and the papers are after them. I say its good, the police are visible, if there are any petty criminals about they will think twice of doing anything, the burger chain restaurants (can you really call them restaurants?) must be safer. Everybody wins, and our bobbies get some nosh to keep them going. If the police weren’t on the street, or holed up in some staff canteen somewhere, what good would they be to us?? Wouldn’t the same papers be complaining about the dwindling police presence on our streets and in our high streets? Come on chaps and chapettes of the press, let’s support our noble police force in their fight against crime and recommend some good restaurants for them. Only registered users can write comments.
