or should a man be a man, and a woman be a woman?
I got an email with this in it....
As I read it (not that do normally read trash emails) it struck me that in our PC (politically correct) age of women's lib, the old fashioned virtue's of knights in shining armour have gone by the wayside. Is this really what we want?
Wouldn't it be better to go back to the old ways, to the old days, where a man was a man and looked after his woman?
I Am Dominant Man (author unknown)
I am a Dominant Man I am just that I am not dominant because of any superiority on my part Not because I feel I am more intelligent or wiser I am not dominant because of the strength or mass of my body I am not, nor would I want to be dominant with all women Yet to you I am Master I am only your master after earning your trust and I embrace your submissiveness I have looked into your heart and mind and clearly see your desires and passions You have thrown away all your fears and inhibitions You tell me of the needs of your heart and body You have given me total access to your soul, and I accept the responsibility and honor You are a woman You are not weak or inferior because of it You are a treasure to be cherished We are not equal I have the strength of body and mind and the instinctive need to protect, possess, defend and provide for you You are a woman and instinctively stronger of will and heart Your belief in me gives me courage and direction Your strength disperses my doubt Your needs and desires encourage and give purpose to my efforts We are not equal We are halves of a whole We compliment each other and make each other complete My desire to dominate you is instinctive It is not to degrade you nor is itdegrading to you because you are secure in being totally feminine We each recognise and accept our worth, and our need for someone to trust and fulfill our needs You are strong and proud in your womanhood You do not submit as acceptance of inferiority, but from strength and passion You expect a man to stand strong and be a man You desire and flourish the strength and control of a man In return you present control of your body, unqualified trust and honesty, and the faithfulness of your heart You submit because I have earned your trust Because I have opened my heart and soul to you Because I have listened to your words with my ears and heart and have learned to anticipate your needs and emotions And because I have proven worthy in your eyes, you have given me the only true treasure of life; you have given me dominance over you What you give is not abnormal, but pure, natural and the rarest gift a woman could give a man You have given me complete and unshakeable assurance of your commitment to me Your submissiveness is a magnificent gift and sacred responsibility I accept this from you with humility and joy I understand the rarity and purity of this gift I recognise it is your body and soul, your heart and mind I dominate you only because you have allowed it I dominate only because you have allowed me to and when I see your body kneel before me, in my mind and heart you are raised above all other women, and all the treasures of the Earth What you give freely, can not in reality be bought

fair point but.... Written by Mini Moo on 2006-01-16 13:39:28 That being said - what about the women who want to rely on themselves? What about the women who don't 'need' a man to dominate them and be strong? From my experience, and this of course may just be the men I have encountered in the past, but men seem to look to women I feel, more so than women. Women know they can do well, they don't necessarily 'need' a man to guide them or to please... I have seen that in fact it is men who look to women for re-assurance, for applause and gratitude. Women know they do a good job, the only difference is - the applause isn't as loud, if at all, and they live by their own gratitude in the comfort of knowing 'I have done a good job' because it isn't as recognised as that of man. Nor is it a sought by a woman to be told she has done a good job, they just get on with it anyways. Women are now breadwinners in their own right and can bask in the fruits of their labour... If we still had to rely on men for that, what on Earth would women be for other than 'womens' jobs such as house wives and mothers to the man's children. i think would be far more satisfying to bring home the bacon for the children you have bore, knowing you have done it with an equal amount of work from a partner. But then again - there is a fast growing number of women doing it alone... Where is 'man' then?
