In 1976 Elvis most personal album was released, if you listen carefully to it and if you analyse how he sings the songs he was absolutely terrifyingly open with his absolute black hole depression that he had been having for quite some year.

He is hopelessly without any hope and love in his life and nothing could be more sad then this. The songs that stands out the most are as follow: Hurt, Never Again, Bitter They Are Harder They fall, Solitare, Love Coming Down and I'll Never Fall In Love Again. Just look at the titles and you see the pattern. Even the only happy song called For The Heart is a cry out for help. When you feel that there is only one love in his life.

When I listen to this album I almost freeze in feelings of this kind: How on earth could so many friends not see anything at all going on in his life? And the right answer is: No one cared to be his friend and nobody took action. You may ask what make me say this. The answer is in how people around him acted out when he was alive. They only had big huge parties, demanded big cars and mink-furs for the wife just caring for the Name to be linked to Elvis. Afterwords they say simply this thing: How do you save a man from himself? I hve the answer: You make it public in the press or you go to any private doctor you can find and tell the truth. Some people need to be taken off the ground by hard action.

So little things are done today and so many people suffer the same as Elvis and nothing is done and no one see the truth and act on it. when will we grow up to get more humanity in this world? I do not see an easy answer to this. Probobly too late will we find out how ugly we are towards one another and how selfish we are.

Yet again this album is among the CDs that keep me alive when I am depressed, because I feel that someone else out there felt real low too. Feelings do last forever even if you die, the most staggering prof of this is the posible amount of lifes that Elvis alone have saved with his voice crying out the pain and telling people that everyone is hurt and need to get understanding for it.

So for the heart of your inner soul I urge you to take a listen to the songs on this album and feel the pain. Get the true feeling from someone who is really depressed and then understand how other friends, families and strangers around you might feel. And take action. Love one another and make a difference while you can. No one did with Elvis. And wether you like Elvis or not. The least thing you can do to honor the man who have sold more albums then all other artists is to care for others.
