I am reading her book and the more I read about her the more I adore her and the more I want to have her whole catalogue of movies. She was kinda a double nature. On the set and when it had to do with movies she was the brave big star who could say no to something she didn't like and fight for the role of her dreams. At home with her husband very much dependent on what the man thought and wanted. Did you know that her mother died when she was three and when she was twelve her dad died! Such a terrifying thing to have to live with as an teenager and as an adult! Her way of acting was something extraordinary. The way she could make humans of all the roles she played. My favourite movie off all the time is still Casablanca. The way she could just say a whole sentence with her eyes. What a woman! But her peak must have been when she did her only Ingmar Bergman movie Autumn Sonata. I still remember how I ended up crying four times during that movie. But I didn't know when I had started. Such a strange thing to feel. (By the way, Ingrid and Ingmar was not part of the same family, Ingmar's father were her confirmation priest as I remember it). Even in one of her first movies "A Woman's Face" you can see the brilliance she had. And that her first movie was made in her summer vacation from acting school was what I think just natural.
