A day of silence? Is your automatic question, you find yourself puzzled and ask me this in return. Well I've got news for you. Ever since April the 26th 1996 the people of one University in USA have had it. And the word spread around. Today loads of Universities and places in USA are having it. Maybe even some schools in UK have it too. So what is the idea behind this? Well, many people can't live with their full life out around friends and families. They have to hide some big parts of their life. They need to be quiet so to speak. That is why you too shall be quiet but just for this day. You see because if you feel the feeling of not saying a single word one day a year you might get the feeling that day how it is. Yes the big secret they can't tell is about their sexual preference or their gender identity or anything that has got to do with this matter. It is to open a very small bridge for all to become a bit less sceptical or prejudice about different life's then your own. Maybe you don't believe that it works. But I tried it out, didn't make it 100% though, but I did it. I felt a sudden feeling of how hard it is. Then I felt that I had to pay homage to them all. But then the feeling went higher into spiritual feelings I really started to feel that love and respect is about being spiritual. Hard thing to get yeah I know. Maybe I am not the one to speak up about this matter so much from a critical point you see I have nothing against people that live different lives then me. Guess I am not the one to take this challenge. Maybe next year the people that need this day the most, those who are most against this thing would try it. But I doubt that they will. So what will we do to make them do it? Information perhaps, getting to know anyone who are homosexual or trans gender trying to understand how it was and still is to live with an identity that is different from the masses. I also think that we need to step down from our high horses to get the point of the fact that: If everyone was like ourselves we would not get a colorful world as we have today. We need every person there is on this planet to be exactly as that person wants to be. The thing we also need is to stop think that we are so normal and average ourselves. Because we are all unique.
